Hepburn Center Fellow Amy Murphy has arranged for complimentary tickets for a group of 30 students, faculty, and staff to see the Arden's production of Gee's Bend , a play about a group of African-American women in Alabama who turned to quilting as a way to cope with poverty, segregation, and family problems. The 12 undergraduates who received Hepburn Center Summer Internships in 2008 will be meeting four times this year to talk about their internship experiences. The second of these meetings will be on Sunday, November 2nd in BYC 127 at 6 pm. Over the course of the year, each student will give a Power Point presentation about her internship (which will be downloadable from the Hepburn Center website).
